Stonehenge is one of the biggest henges in the world. It is a ring of standing stones with each stone standing approximately thirteen feet high by seven feet wide. Archaeologists believe it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. Popular fiction and opinion hold great mystical significance to Stonehenge and it has been associated with the Druids and ancient occult mysticism.
According to comedian Eddie Izzard, there was also once a Woodhenge and a Strawhenge, but then a Big Bad Wolf came along and blew them all down. [1]
