A stewardess is an old-form term used to describe a flight attendant. A flight attendant is an employee of an airline or a space agency and serves as a member of the crew aboard an airplane of spacecraft. Their primary function is to ensure the safety but also the comfort of passengers aboard commercial flights, on select business jet craft, and on some military air or star craft. One example of a flight attendant (or, stewardess) is Betty Hamilton, a member of the crew of the Spindrift from the 1960s television series Land of the Giants.
Actress Françoise Yip was credited as Stewardess #2 in "The Innocents" episode of the paranormal TV series Millennium.
