The two negotiated over the contract for a Supe named Nubian Prince. Stillwell offered to transfer Nubian Prince to Baltimore for $300 million, but Steve laughed and made a counter-offer of $200 million. Steve then tried to blackmail Madelyn by telling her that he was aware of Vought's development of Compound V, the knowledge of which was closely kept secret from the public. Stillwell denied knowing anything about Compound V. Homelander overheard Steve trying to blackmail Madelyn, so he took matters into his own hands. When the mayor was flying back to Baltimore with his son, Homelander used his laser eyes to destroy the plane, killing everyone on board. (The Boys: The Name of the Game)

Steve, already intoxicated, made a jab at Rorschach about his smell to impress his buddies. Rorschach approached the table, and broke Steve's pinky finger. He then asked the room if anybody had any information about the Comedian's murder. When Steve's pals failed to comply, Rorschach broke his index finger. He threatened to continue breaking bones unless somebody came forward with some useful information. Unfortunately for both Rorschach and Steve, nobody knew anything. Rorschach left the bar without causing Steve any further injury. (Watchmen 1)
