Stella Mayfair is a fictional witch and a supporting character featured in the Lives of the Mayfair Witches line of novels by author Anne Rice. She appeared in the first book in the series, The Witching Hour, published in October, 1990.
Biography[]
Stella Mayfair was born in 1901 and was the tenth "witch" in the Mayfair family line. She was the younger sister of Carlotta Mayfair. She was the daughter of Mary Beth Mayfair. Stella was responsible for the modernization of the family mansion at 1239 First Street in New Orleans. Like her predecessors, Stella was seduced by the spirit of Lasher. Stella Mayfair was murdered by her brother Lionel who shot her to death on the grand staircase of the family's home in 1929.

- Stella Mayfair gave birth to her daughter, Antha in 1921. It is believed by many that her brother Lionel may be the father.
