The Statue of Freedom is a fictional landmark featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Flash line of titles and first appeared in "The Case of the Real-Gone Flash!" story from The Flash #128 in May, 1962.
The Statue of Freedom is a memorial statue located in Central Square in Central City, Missouri. When the 64th century stage magician known as Abra Kadabra failed to impress audiences at Central Hall, he decided to do something extremely extravagant by using his "magic" to steal the Statue of Freedom. Upon successfully accomplishing this task, Abra used molecular immobilization to temporarily paralyze witnesses from pursuing him, including the Flash.
