The stasis square is a fictional item featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Justice League of America line of titles and first appeared in Justice League America #76 in July, 1993.
A stasis square is a device used by the Weapons Master. Though called a square, it is actually rectangular in shape and has the ability to ensnare objects or organisms within its internal area. It is unknown whether the Weapons Master invented the stasis square, or if he obtained it from another source, such as the Weaponers of Qward. While trapped in the Blood Gem realm, the Weapons Master used the stasis square to capture Ray Palmer. Once Palmer was locked within the effective area of the square, he was unable to escape.
