  • The title of the moving company at the beginning of the book is Action Movers. Its logo stylized in the way of Action Comics.
  • On the Stargirl television series, "New Kids on the Block" was the password to Barbara Dugan's computer at work. Beth Chapel did not understand the reference, so the "Chuck" A.I. in her goggles had to explain it to her. [1]
