- This episode aired on the same night as "The Time Warrior (Part 1)" episode of Doctor Who.
- Series creator and teleplay writer Harlan Ellison is credited as Cordwainer Bird in this episode. It is generally accepted that Ellison chose this pseudonym to disassociate himself from The Starlost, after having expressed great dissatisfaction with the way the series was produced.
- Co-writer Norman Klenman is uncredited for his participation in this episode.
- Executive producer Gerry Rochon is credited as Gerard Rochon in this episode.
- Executive producer Jerome M. Zeitman is credited as Jerry Zeitman in this episode.
- This is the only episode of The Starlost with Sean Sullivan in the role of Rachel's father.
- Actor Gillie Fenwick is also a voice actor who has lent his talents to various animated projects such as the original 1967 Spider-Man cartoon series.
