Moughal was an elderly man who hailed from the Shavadai clan on the planet Simarka. He was the tribal chieftain and the father of Abu. In contrast to typical Simarkan elders, Moughal had only one wife. It is said that he had been touched with the "madness" of love. This particular brand of mental instability must be an inherited trait, for Abu likewise was in love with a woman named Nya, who was the daughter of a rival chieftain, Turghan. (SG-1: Emancipation)
