Starfox is the code name attributed to a fictional comic book character featured in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. His real name is Eros. He was created by writer/artist Jim Starlin and artist Mike Friedrich and first appeared in Iron Man, Volume 1 #55 in February, 1973. After making a few minor appearances, the character took on a larger role when he joined the Avengers in the mid-1980s. Since that time, he has been commonly seen in books relating to the cosmic epic storylines of the Marvel Universe.

Overview[]

Eros is a Titanian, which is an immortal offshoot breed of Eternal. He was born and raised on the moon Titan and is the son of A'Lars and Sui-San. As his name suggests, Eros is a man of great passion and a zest for life. Carefree and often irresponsible, he yearns for nothing less than a life of high adventure and the embrace of a woman. Any woman. Several, if he can get them. However, with the cosmic threat posed by his meglomaniacal brother Thanos, Eros was forced to rexamine his role in the universe with a more serious attitude. To this end, he has taken arms with his fellow Titanians against Thanos and even became a member of the Earth-based superhero team, the Avengers for some time.
