"The Search Begins" is the title to the sixty-fourth issue of the first Star Wars ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The series is based on the Star Wars film series developed by Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. The story was written by David Michelinie with layouts by Gene Day and finishes by Tom Palmer. It was colored by Glynis Wein and lettered by Joe Rosen. The story was edited by Louise Jones. This issue shipped with a February, 1983 cover date and carries a cover price of .60 cents per copy.
