Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan is a 2011 novel set within the Star Wars universe. It was written by author and video game developer Drew Karpyshyn and continues storylines that began in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. The novel continues the adventures of one of the game's main characters, Darth Revan, whose fate was left ambigously unresolved at the end of the game storyline.

- Author Drew Karpyshyn was one of the lead designers and story writers on 'Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords as well as the co-creator of the Revan character]]. Drew has also authored several novels set within the Star Wars universe including the "Darth Bane" trilogy, Star Wars: Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Star Wars: Darth Bane: Rule of Two and Star Wars: Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil.
- In addition to his work on Star Wars, Drew Karpyshyn is also one of the developers behind the Mass Effect video game franchise.
- Drew Karpyshyn was very eager to continue the story of Darth Revan, which was left unresolved at the end of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. "A lot of fans have been patiently waiting a long time to find out what happened to Revan after KotOR", said Karpyshyn, "It's probably the number one question I'm asked on my website". In the same interview, Drew commented, "I'm glad the story is finally being told, and I'm ecstatic that I'm the one who gets to tell it". [2]
