"Episode VIII, Part I: The Last Jedi" is the first issue of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics. It is the official comic book adaptation of the 2017 feature film Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. The story was written by Gary Whitta with artwork and inks by Michael Walsh. It was colored by Mike Spicer and lettered by VC's Travis Lanham. The story was edited by Heather Antos with Tom Groneman, Emily Newcomen & Nick Martino as assistant editors and Jordan D. White and Mark Paniccia as group editors.

- Star Wars was created by writer, director and executive producer George Lucas. It first captured the imaginations of movie goers in May, 1977 with its inaugural installment, which has since come to be identified by its full title, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The movie led to two sequels, a prequel trilogy, a third trilogy, several spin-off films, and numerous television programs, animated projects, novels, comic books, and video games, as well as developing into a merchandising giant.
