It is the official adaptation of the feature film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, produced by Lucasfilm, Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. The book was written by Donald F. Glut based on a script by Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan.
