Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is a comic book limited series based on the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It is the first series released under the franchises "Tales of the Jedi" imprint. The title was published by Dark Horse Comics and was released from October, 1993 to February, 1994, spanning a total of five issues. All five issues were written by Tom Veitch. The art team on the series consists of Christian Gossett and inker Mike Barreiro on issues #1-2, and Janine Johnston & John Nadeau on issue #3, and David A. Roach on issues #4-5. The cover art illustrations for all five issues were composed by Dave Dorman.

Before the rise of the Empire, before the legendary exploits of Luke, Han, and Leia, there was a galaxy linked together by the newly formed Republic and the roaming warriors of legend -- the Jedi Knights!

Journey back four thousand years before Star Wars: A New Hope and learn of the time when the Jedi Knights were the most powerful, most respected force in the galaxy.
