"Patterns of Force" is the twenty-first episode of season two of the science fiction television series Star Trek and the fifty-second episode of the series overall. It was directed by Vincent McEveety with a script written by John Meredyth Lucas. It first aired on NBC on February 16th, 1968. Like all episodes from the original series, this episode was digitally remastered with new visual sequences and effects. The remastered version first aired on CBS on May 19th, 2007.
