"Dramatis Personae" is the eighteenth episode of season one of the science fiction television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Combining the episode count of all Star Trek-related TV shows to date, it is the 274th episode of the entire franchise. The episode was directed by Cliff Bole and written by Joe Menosky. It first aired in syndication on Sunday, May 30th, 1993. In this episode, the command crew of Deep Space Nine begin behaving in a power-hungry and erratic manner and begin devising secret alliances to take control of the station. Chief Constable Odo is the only one seemingly unaffected by this phenomenon and it is up to him to ferret out the answer to this mystery before everything devolves into chaos.
