History[]
The Star City Youth Center was located in Star City. Shortly after being resurrected from the dead, Oliver Queen, caught wind of a plan for the city to shut the youth center down. As Green Arrow, he broke into the office of Star City comptroller, Harold Leeds, and demanded to know why Leeds authorized the closure of the Star City Youth Center. Leeds told him that it was closed in order to safeguard orphans from the recent Star City Slayer murders. Ollie demanded to talk to Commissioner Elmer Durgin, but Leeds informed him that Durgin died several years ago.
Oliver fought up against the Star City Slayer, who was revealed to be his benefactor, Stanley Dover. Following Dover's death, Queen inherited all of his money and used it to purchase the youth center and kept it open. One of the frequent patrons of the youth center was Mia Dearden, who later became Ollie's protégé and sidekick, Speedy.
