Stanton is a fictional law enforcement officer & murder victim and a supporting character featured in the Child's Play film series. Played by actor Adam Hurtig, he appeared in the 2013 direct-to-video film Curse of Chucky.

Biography[]

Stanton was a young man who worked as a uniformed police officer in Highgate, Rhode Island in the early 2010s. In 2013, he and another highway officer responded to an automobile collision that claimed the lives of two motorists and fatally injured the inciting driver, a priest named Father Frank. Stanton knew Father Frank whom he met when he attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Father Frank was his sponsor. The other highway officer pondered whether Father Frank had been drinking, but Stanton told him that he had been sober for years. Stanton witnessed emergency workers attempted to remove steel wreckage from the vehicle, but doing so, caused Father Frank's mostly severed head to come completely off, and it fell into the back seat of the vehicle.

Stanton took a personal interest in this fatality, and decided to find out where Frank was driving home from. He eventually tracked Father Frank's last known location to 5867 Golden Oak Road, which was the residence of invalid Nica Pierce and her late mother, Sarah, who had died a few evenings prior. When Stanton arrived at the house, he found Nica, holding a knife and covered in blood, and the bodies of several people were discovered.

Stanton death

Oh, its not Chucky you need to worry about, Officer Stanton!

Nica was arrested and put on trial. She had claimed that a Good Guys doll named Chucky had come to life, and was actually responsible for murdering the other members of her household. She was declared mentally unfit to stand trial and sent to a mental health facility.

Officer Stanton was present in the gallery during her hearing. The Chucky doll had been admitted into evidence and Stanton had already made prior arrangements to steal the doll and sell it to a buyer who was willing to pay a lot of money. After Nica's trial concluded, Stanton took possession of the doll and brought it to his car. The buyer was Chucky's ex-lover, Tiffany Valentine, who now inhabited the body of film actress Jennifer Tilly. Tiffany was hiding in the back seat of Stanton's car, and she sprung up and slit his throat open with a nail file.
