The Spider-signal was a device developed by Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man. It was basically a flashlight that projected an image of his mask onto surfaces. The signal was concealed inside of his belt and was utilized as not only a light source in dark areas, but also to announce his presence for the effect of surprising or disorienting criminals.
Notes[]
- The spider-signal is similar to the Bat-signal used by Batman over in DC Comics. During the time that Otto Octavius was the Superior Spider-Man, the signal was upgraded into a roof-mounted projection device similar to the bat-signal.
