"Attack of the Arachnoid" is the fourth episode of season three of the superhero animated series Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. It is the twentieth episode of the series overall. It was directed by Donald L. Jurwich with a script written by Michael Reaves. It first aired on Saturday morning on NBC on October 8th, 1983 at 10:30 am.
Zoltan Amadeus is a chemical scientist who creates a spider serum to duplicate Spider-Man's powers. He impersonates and frames Spider-Man for his crimes until he mutates into the Arachnoid. Eventually, Spider-Man hits Zoltan with the antidote, returning him to normal.
