- First animated appearance of Mysterio. This is the only appearance of the character in Spider-Man.
- This is the first full-length episode of the series. Other episodes are divided into two stories each.
Allusions[]
- In Marvel Comics, the character of Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio, was introduced in Amazing Spider-Man, Volume 1 #13 in June, 1964. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. This episode loosely adapts the story from that issue.
