The Spectre is an American ongoing comic book series of the supernatural thriller genre, as well as elements of the superhero fantasy genre. It was published by DC Comics and ran for ten issues from December 1967 to June 1969. Creators on this title include writer Gardner Fox, artist Murphy Anderson, and editor Julius Schwartz. The series featured police detective Jim Corrigan, who was the undead host for the Angel of Vengeance known as the Spectre.
