Spad McCracken is a fictional soldier and a minor character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He first appeared in Incredible Hulk, Volume 2 #160 in February, 1973 and made four appearances in the series in total.
Overview[]
Spad McCracken was a soldier in the United States Army. He was stationed at Gamma Base in New Mexico under the command of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. During his time there he became friends with civilian scientist Bruce Banner. The megalomaniacal villain known as the Leader took control of Gamma Base and placed everyone on hand under his psionic control, including McCracken. Bruce Banner tried to free McCracken from the Leader's mental domination, but to no avail. Ultimately however, the Leader was defeated and all of the people stationed at Gamma Base regained their mental faculties.
