The Soul Orb is a fictional mystical item featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and is associated with the Spider-Man and Ghost Rider lines of titles. It made its first appearance in a story called "Carnival of Souls!" from Marvel Team-Up #91 in March, 1980.

The Soul Orb was a spherical opaque orb created by a demonic entity whom was referred to as the Dark Master. It was crafted from the substance of the corporeal world "and the next" and was inhabited by a mist demon known as the Soul-Stealer. As its name implies, the Soul-Stealer could steal the spiritual energy from human beings, trapping their essence within the contained Soul Orb. The Orb was virtually indestructible to most conventional physical attacks, but could be ruptured through supernatural means, such as Hellfire.

The Dark Master bequeathed the use of the Soul Orb to his agent on Earth - the sorcerer known as Moondark. During a fight with Spider-Man and Ghost Rider at a carnival in Connecticut, Moondark used the Orb to enslave the souls of attending customers. This led into a fight with the two heroes. When Ghost Rider blasted the Orb with Hellfire, it was destroyed, thus freeing the souls within. It is unclear what, if anything, became of the Soul-Stealer.
