Sorrow is a fictional character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is associated with the Man-Thing series of titles and first appeared in Man-Thing, Volume 3 #3 in February, 1998.
Biography[]
Sorrow was a celestial being of sorts, hailing from a group dubbed the Fallen Stars. Like others of her ilk, her soul was imbued with a fragment of the shattered Nexus of All Realities, which gave her the ability to instill hope into the hearts and minds of others.
On Earth, Sorrow was presented as a mute mental patient at the Rosewell Sanitarium in Charles, Massachusetts. Sorrow formed an empathic bond with Eric Simon Payne, and helped him to exorcise his own personal demons.
