A sorceress is an individual who can manipulate mystical energy for a variety of effects. They can either display acts of power through sheer force of will, or they may require other tools or circumstances in order to produce an effect, such as a magic wand, performing a ritual, incantations, etc. Sorcerers may also be referred to as wizards. Sorcerers and wizards are most commonly found in the fantasy genre of films.
