Son of Dracula is a British feature film of the musical comedy genre, with some elements of the horror genre thrown in as well. The film was directed by veteran horror director Freddie Francis with a script written by Jennifer Jayne (writing as Jay Fairbank). The movie was produced, edited by and stars everyone's least-favorite Beatle, Mister Ringo Starr. It was distributed through Apple Films and premiered in the United States on April 19th, 1974. The title of the film is taken from the 1943Robert Siodmak horror movie, Son of Dracula, but otherwise bears no connection to the previous film.
