"A Kindly Ghost"[]

It's Ray Stantz' birthday, but the Ghost Busters receive an emergency call before they get a chance to celebrate. Janine is short on ingredients needed for Ray's cake, so she goes to the store leaving Slimer alone in the firehouse. Slimer notices an alert from a ghost trap and unwittingly sets free an annoying little ectroplasmic entity named Sparky, who makes a mess of the firehouse. Slimer and Sparky go out into the city to explore, but Sparky's antics one-ups Slimer at every given turn. Sparky eventually decides that Slimer is a "dud" of a ghost, and flies off to scare people by himself. He ends up haunting the house that the Ghostbusters just happened to be busting. The Ghostbusters fire their proton packs at the residential spirits and Sparky gets caught up in the melee and zapped into a ghost trap.

Slimer returns to his old haunts at the Sedgewick Hotel. He encounters a busboy and a dog, and ends up disturbing the hotel's manager, Mister Grout. Slimer squeezes his ectoplasmic body into the pipes, causing an immense plumbing issue. Mister Grout calls a plumber, but Slimer is lost in the plumbing, popping out a different exits including somebody's shower and a sink in the ladies' room. Mister Grout fields numerous complaints, but insists that the Hotel Sedgewick does not have any ghosts. Slimer hides in the kitchen and takes advantage of the opportunity to slurp up some free food. He then hides inside of a giant cake which is to presented at a plumbers' convention being held in the hotel. Mister Grout yells at the kitchen staff after Slimer gets away and he slams a rolling pin onto a faucet. The impact breaks the faucet, causing a hard stream of water to erupt that blasts the cake into the other room. Slimer manages to escape from the cake and makes it outside where he hangs out with Fred - a dog owned by one of the hotel guests.
