Season Five of Sliders aired on the Sci-Fi Channel from June 11th, 1999 to February 4th, 2000, spanning a total of eighteen episodes. It is the final season of the series, as well as the shortest. This is the first season of Sliders without Jerry O'Connell as part of the main cast line-up. To explain his absence, it is stated that Quinn Mallory merges with his fraternal duplicate from an alternate world. This double is played by actor Robert Floyd, who becomes a regular cast member on the series going forward.
