The Six Million Dollar Man is an American television series of the action and science fiction genres. It was created by Harve Bennett and based on the 1972 novel Cyborg by Martin Caidin. The show was produced by Universal Television and Harve Bennett Productions.
The two main stars of the series, Lee Majors and Richard Anderson returned for season three, reprising their respective roles as Colonel Steve Austin and OSI director Oscar Goldman. Season three saw the departure of Alan Oppenheimer in the role of Doctor Rudy Wells, replacing him with Martin E. Brooks, who continued to play the role throughout the remainder of the series. Actress Lindsay Wagner made guest appearances this season as Steve Austin's bionic soul mate, Jaime Sommers. World Wrestling Federation superstar André the Giant stomped his way across season three as the fan favorite character, Bionic Bigfoot.
