- The Silver Surfer was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. He first appeared in Fantastic Four, Volume 1 #48 in March, 1966 in a story titled "The Coming of Galactus!" The Silver Surfer received his first ongoing comic book series in 1968, which ran for eighteen issues.
- This is the third appearance of the Abomination. He appeared last in Tales to Astonish #91. He appears next in Thor #178.
