Marvel Comics[]
In the mainstream continuity of the Marvel Universe, Siberia is the home of the Rasputin family. They lived on the Ust-Ordynski Collective near Lake Baikal. The most notable member of the family is Peter Rasputin, who is a mutant who could convert the cells of his body to organic steel. As a teenager, he immigrated to the United States and became a member of the X-Men under the code name Colossus. Only slightly less well-known than Peter is his younger sister Illyana Rasputin - also a mutant. In combination with her mutant powers, Illyana also became the ruler of Limbo and took the name Magik. Other members of the Rasputin family include a third sibling, Mikhail, their parents Nikolai and Alexandra and their grandparents Grigori and Elena.
