- This is the second appearance of Mike Maxwell as B'wana Beast. He appeared last in Showcase #66. This is the last you'll see of the character for close to two decades until he pops up again in a cameo appearance in Crisis on Infinite Earths #5 in August, 1985.
- Djuba the gorilla appears next in Animal Man #3 in November, 1988.
- A version of B'wana Beast also appeared in the "Freakshow" episode from season three of DC's Legends of Tomorrow where he was played by actor Jason Day.
