Shock wave generation, or shockwave generation, is a super-power that reflects an individual's ability to generate shock waves or in other ways affect the seismology of the surrounding environment. In Marvel Comics, this is presented in the character of Herman Schultz, aka, Shockwave, who can generate shock waves by way of his Vibro-shock gauntlets. Another supervillain, Philippa Sontag, aka Arclight, can generate a wave of energy from her hands that produces seismic shock waves, which shes uses for offensive attack.
The Inhuman known as Gorgon Petragon can create seismic shock waves by stomping his cloven-hoofed feet upon the ground. The immensity of his shock waves can reach a strength of 7.5 on the Richter Scale, or 9.5 if he is near a fault line.
A DC Comics super-villain named Arnold Pruett employed an exo-skeleton suit of armor and called himself Shockwave. The armor enabled him to generate seismic waves of energy that could level entire buildings. Such was the case when he demonstrated this ability on a brownstone occupied by Dan Cassidy, aka Blue Devil.

- Gorgon Petragon from Marvel Comics publications refers to his shock wave generating super-stomp as a "Thunder kick", even though he technically doesn't kick people. Kicking is rude.
