"And a Jungle Queen is Born!" is the premiere issue of the Marvel Comics adventure series Shanna, the She-Devil. The issue introduces the character of Shanna O'Hara, who will go on to star in two more limited series titles as well as a supporting role in the Ka-Zar family of comic book titles.

This issue was written by Steve Gerber and Carole Seuling. It was drawn by George Tuska with ink work provided by Vince Colletta. Lettering was done by John Costanza and the book was edited by Roy Thomas. The colorist for this issue is uncredited. The cover art for this issue was illustrated by Jim Steranko. This issue shipped with a December, 1972 cover date and has a cover price of .20 (US) per copy.
