Overview[]
Lieutenant Shann Childsen was a member of the Imperial Navy stationed aboard the first Death Star. He was placed in charge of the detention block. In 0 BBY, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo disguised themselves as Imperial Stormtroopers and marched their ally Chewbacca the Wookiee down to the detention level. When they came upon Childsen's station, he looked upon Chewbacca with an air of disgust and asked, "Where are you taking this... thing." Luke told him that he was a prisoner transfer from cell block 1138. Childsen was unaware of any such prisoner transfers and turned to consult his data pad. At that point, Han, Luke and Chewie opened fire on every soldier in the room. Luke killed Childsen with a shot to the chest from his Stormtrooper rifle. [1]
