TV series[]

The Seven are the world's most preeminent superhero team. They were created by Vought International and consists (ideally) of seven super-powered individuals, all of whom possess abilities given to them due to a chemical infusion of Compound V. The field commander of The Seven is The Homelander, while other core members include Queen Maeve, Black Noir, and Translucent. A former member of the junior division, Teenage Kix, named A-Train, joined the ranks of the Seven. One member, Lamplighter, went into retirement and was replaced by Starlight. Translucent was killed and ultimately replaced by Stormfront. Prior to Stormfront, an individual known as Blindspot had been inducted into the ranks, but was critically injured by Homelander before ever attending his first meeting. The Seven's activities were coordinated by Vought's VP of hero management, Madelyn Stillwell up until the time of her death. She was succeeded by Talent Relations director Ashley Barrett. Vought's CEO Stan Edgar took a more active role in The Seven's operations following Stillwell's death.

Notes & Trivia[]

Seven, The 001

The Seven as seen on Amazon's The Boys.

  • The Seven are a pastiche of the DC Comics super-hero team, the Justice League of America. During the team's tenure on the JLA series, they were often referred to by fans as "The Big Seven", as their roster consisted of the most iconic DC characters that were commonly associated with the Justice League.
  • The Seven are not to be confused with the Super 7, who were a team of adventurers feature on the Tarzan and the Super 7 animated series on CBS in 1978.
  • In the comics, Queen Maeve has blonde hair. In the TV show she has red hair.
  • The motto of The Seven is "Fiat justitia ruat caelum", which translates as "Let justice be done though the heavens fall". [1]
