Biography[]
Sergeant Garcia was a police officer and desk sergeant who worked under Lieutenant Donald Thompson in the town of Springwood, Ohio. Garcia was present the day they brought in teenager Rod Lane on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend Tina Gray. Rod's friend Nancy Thompson came to the precinct and begged Garcia to let her see Rod, suspecting that her friend's life might be in danger. Her fears turned out to be true as Garcia soon discovered when he brought her to the cell block. They found Rod's body hanging from a knotted bed sheet tied to a bar in the window. Though his death was ruled a suicide, he was in fact murdered by dream demon Freddy Krueger - the same one responsible for killing Rod's girlfriend.
