Sean Sullivan was a Canadian character actor born in Toronto, Ontario on December 26th, 1921. His first work in the sci-fi genre was playing the role of Doctor Bill Michaels in the 1968 Stanley Kubrick film 2001: A Space Odyssey. He later went on to play Rachel's father in the pilot episode of the TV series Starlost entitled "Voyage of Discovery". In 1983, he played Herb Smith in Stephen King's The Dead Zone. Sullivan passed away in his home town of Toronto on June 3rd, 1985.
