Scott Wilson is an American film and television actor. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 29th, 1942. When he has a full beard he kinda looks like Santa Claus.

Career

In horror fiction, Scott Wilson is best known for playing Doctor Temple in the 1990 paranormal demonic thriller The Exorcist III as well as that of farmer and veterinarian Hershel Greene on the AMC survival horror series The Walking Dead.

Scott Wilson's other film credits include the 2006 sci-fi/action/horror movie The Host, where he played a doctor in a morgue. That same year he played Eugene - a retired serial killer and mentor to up-and-coming psychopath Leslie Vernon in the pseudo-satirical Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.

On The Walking Dead, Wilson's character was introduced in the second episode of season two titled, "Bloodletting". He made eleven appearances in total in that season. With season three of the show, Scott Wilson was one of the series regulars, but was billed as a guest-star. He appeared in fourteen episodes of from the season. Wilson appeared in the first half of season four, but only made six appearances (eight credited) as his character was killed off in episode 4x08, "Too Far Gone".
