Biography[]
Scott Fitzsimmons was a resident of Wessex County and worked for the Wessex County Sheriff's Department. As a police chief, he was called out to investigate reports of a mass murder that took place at Packanack Lodge across from Camp Crystal Lake in the summer of 1984. Speaking with reporters, he confirmed that eight bodies had been found though they could not find any evidence of the perpetrator. At least one survivor, Ginny Field, was being pulled out of a cabin on a stretcher as Fitzsimmons surveyed the area along with a New Jersey state trooper named Normand.
Scott Fitzsimmons was quickly called back to the scene of the crime two days later as a second string of murders, presumably by the same killer had taken place at nearby Higgins Haven. [1]
