Scanners II: The New Order is a Canadian science fiction film with overtones of the horror genre. It is the sequel to the 1981 David Cronenberg movie Scanners. Scanners II was directed by Christian Duguay and written by B.J. Nelson. It was produced by Pierre David and René Malo of Malofilm and released on June 28th, 1991. The movie stars David Hewlett as David Kellum, Deobrah Raffin as Julie Vale, Yvan Ponton as Commander John Forrester, Isabelle Mejias as Alice Leonardo, Tom Butler as Doctor Morse and Raoul Trujillo as evil scanner Peter Drak.
