Scanner Cop 2 is an American science fiction film and a direct-to-video sequel to the 1994 Pierre David film Scanner Cop, which in turn was a spin-off of the Scanners film series which began with the titular David Cronenberg film in 1981. It is alternatively known as Scanners: The Showdown. In this film, Daniel Quinn reprises his role of Detective Sam Stanziak, a powerful psionic known as a Scanner who must stop a another Scanner from acquiring ultimate power by stealing the psionic abilities of other Scanners.
