Biography[]

Scaleface 001

Scaleface in human form.

Scaleface was a young female mutant who lived among the Morlocks in the subterranean cavern system known as The Alley beneath the streets of New York City. Scaleface had the ability to transform into a giant dragon. She often operated alongside Ray Carter, aka Berzerker. During an incident known as the "Mutant Massacre", Scaleface and Berzerker fought against the X-Terminators, mistakenly believing that they were aligned with a group or murderous mercenaries known as the Marauders. She came within proximity of the power dampener known as Leech, which prompted her to shift back into human form. Distancing herself from Leech, she turned back into a dragon and smashed through Iceman's ice slide. Iceman's colleague, Cyclops, put Scaleface down with an optic blast. When she awakened, she realized that X-Terminators was not the enemy and convinced Berzerker to work with them. The X-Terminators helped Berzerker and Scaleface escape from the Alley and brought them to the surface.

Scaleface 002

Scaleface as a zombie.

Almost immediately thereafter, a gang of anti-mutant humans known as the Savage Wolf Gang opened fire on the Morlocks with their handguns on the docks of the Hudson River. The New York City Police Department responded to the shots fired. Seeing Scaleface in dragon form made the officers determine that she was the larger threat. One of the officers opened fire and shot Scaleface three times. Though she was highly durable in dragon form, she was not invulnerable. The shots proved fatal, and she slumped to the ground dead as she turned back into human form. [1]

Years later, the voodoo practitioner known as Black Talon used his skills to resurrect Scaleface, as well as three other deceased mutants to form a zombie horde known as the X-Humed. Black Talon sent the X-Humed to defeat She-Hulk. Even as a zombie, Scaleface still maintained the ability to transform into a dragon, albeit an undead one. She-Hulk swung a fist at the zombie dragon and decimated it with a single powerful blow. Shen then complained about getting "lizard goop" all over her hand. [2]
