"Designer Genes!!"[]
Jennifer Walters awakens to discover that she has transformed into She-Hulk while she slept. She contacts Zapper, seeking to put her concerns behind her. Zapper drives her to UCLA and unwittingly sells her out to "Doc" under the premise of using Jen's DNA to find a cure for various diseases. Doc has his own agenda in mind however.
She-Hulk is gassed and when she comes to, she finds herself bound to various scientific devices. She breaks free, but Doc injects his colleague Ralphie Hutchins with a serum that transforms him into the Brute. She-Hulk tears through the Brute like taffy and escapes.
She returns home and changes back to Jennifer Walters where she meets up with Richard Rory. Jen and Richard's conversation is interrupted when a police officer arrives to deliver an eviction notice courtesy of the house's owner - Jennifer's very own father. Flying into a rage, Jen changes into She-Hulk. Zapper comes over at just the exact wrong time to pay a social call.
