Sarek is a fictional alien politician and a recurring character featured in the Star Trek multimedia franchise. He is represented as being the father of Mister Spock. Originally played by actor Mark Lenard, he first appeared in season two of the original Star Trek television series in an episode called "Journey to Babel". The character was re-imagined for the Kelvin timeline series of feature films where he was played by actor Ben Cross. He also appeared in episodes of Star Trek: Discovery where he was played by actor James Frain.

- Sarek was 203-years-old when he died. He died of a fictional disease caleld Bendii syndrome.
- The DC Comics character Saarek is named after Sarek. Introduced in Green Lantern & Green Arrow #90 in August-September, 1976, the character was portrayed with Vulcan physical characteristics and demonstrated the traditional hand gesture greeting of a Vulcan.
- Sarek is the adoptive father of Michael Burnham.
