"The Tarantula: Act II" is the second issue of the Sandman Mystery Theatre ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint. The story was written by Matt Wagner with artwork and inks by Guy Davis. It was colored by David Hornung and lettered by John Costanza. The cover illustration was rendered using digital compositions with photographic elements by Gavin Wilson. The story was edited by Karen Berger with Shelly Roeberg as assistant editor. This issue shipped with a May, 1993 cover date and carries a cover price of $1.95 per copy (US).

- The character of the Sandman was created by Gardner Fox and Creig Flessel. By 1942, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby pulled the Sandman away from his pulp-noir roots, providing him with a colorful, purple and yellow super-hero costume, and a boy sidekick named Sandy.
