Biography[]
Sanborn was an adult Caucasian male and a survivor of the zombie apocalypse. He was a resident of the Commonwealth in Ohio and became a trooper in the Commonwealth's militia. Sanborn was based out of the Outpost 22 prison camp, which was located at the Commonwealth occupied area once known as the Alexandria Safe-Zone in Virginia.
One of the prisoners, Negan, tried to make a deal with Commonwealth warden, which would have ultimately resulted in his execution. Sanborn marched through the prison barracks in the middle of the night, awakening everyone, forcing them to go outside.
The warden altered the deal and brought Negan's wife Annie front and center to join him on the firing line. Several other prisoners stood in defense of the execution. Sanborn was a member of the firing squad, but another soldier named Trooper 197 suffered a challenge to his conscious and shot Sanborn.
During the ensuing chaos, Daryl Dixon stabbed the warden in the lower back with a knife. Rosita Espinosa made demands of the dying warden to tell her where her missing daughter Socorro Espinosa was located. By this point, Sanborn had already turned into a walker. Rosita grabbed Sanborn and pressed him against the warden, whereupon he began chewing at his face.
