Biography[]
Samantha Wildman was a xenobiologist and an ensign stationed aboard the United Federation starship USS Voyager NCC-74656. She began serving aboard Voyager in 2371 leaving behind a husband station aboard space station Deep Space Nine. The starship was caught up in a spatial vortex that catapulted them into the Delta Quadrant. Wildman was one of many crew members to survive, but it would take them more than seventy-five years to return home.
On Stardate 48921.3, the crew of Voyager encountered a unique microscopic space-borne life form that produced intense electromagnetic radiation. Captain Kathryn Janeway had Ensign Wildman conduct an analysis on the swarm wherein they learned more about their feeding habits. It was during this mission that Ensign Wildman discovered that she was pregnant. After the matter of the swarm was resolved, she informed Captain Janeway of her situation. Janeway understood that as they were so far from home, there was a strong chance that Voyager might become a generational ship. Janeway told Wildman "Congratulations". (Star Trek: Voyager: Elogium)
